Love Everyone? Let’s Talk About It

By: Guru Charan Das

Maharajji said: “Love everyone. Serve everyone. Remember God. Tell the Truth.”

Love everyone. How do we actually do that? But let’s pause on that first one.

Serving? Yes, we find our ways.

Remembering God? Through chanting, prayer, silence, satsang.

Telling the truth? A practice we grow into.

But loving everyone—that’s where most of us pause. Right?

Ram Dass offers a direction:

"I am loving awareness.“

"Be Here Now. Be Love now."

These aren’t just words—they’re invitations.

To be here.

To be now.

To be love —here and now.

So where and how do we begin?

Build Boundaries, Not Walls

We often protect ourselves by shutting others out. But walls isolate.

Boundaries are different—they honor our needs while still allowing love to flow.To walk the path of bhakti, you don’t have to lose yourself.

You get to honor your heart and open it.

It takes strength to say: “This is what I need,“ and softness to say: “I still choose to love.“

Bhakti Is the Journey Inward

This isn’t about performance or perfection.

Bhakti is the journey within.

Maharajji is not just in the photo on your altar—He’s within you.

And the path to Him is through love, devotion, and selfless service.

As you love and serve others, you start uncovering your own Self—

Not the one shaped by fear or ego, but the one that has always been free.

Realize the Unity: Sab Ek!

When Rama asked Hanuman,

Hanuman replied:

“How do you see me?”

“When I believe I am the body, I am your faithful servant.

When I know I am the soul, I am a spark of your eternal light.

And when I have the vision of truth—you and I, my Lord, are one.”

This is the essence of bhakti: Not losing yourself, but realizing yourself through loving.

Let Go Into the Lila!

There’s a quiet joy that comes when you let go of control and trust in the unfolding.

There’s a saying I love: “We have two lives. The second begins when we realize there’s only one.”

Once you begin this journey with courage, boundaries, devotion you start to witness the lila—the divine play.

And with it, comes grace. (Maharajji - your lila, your grace)

Ram Dass said:

“Once you’re free, there’s no escape.”

Because once your heart cracks open, once you realize God is not separate from you—

You don’t need escape. You are home.

Reflect and Return to the Heart

Try reflecting on this while listening to Ram Dass’s “I Am Loving Awareness.”

Let the mantra bring you back to your center. Back to yourself.

With Maharajji’s unconditional love,

Hanuman’s unwavering devotion,

and Ram’s infinite presence—

you already have everything you need.

Be Love. Be Here Now.
