A Journey Through Bhakti and Music

In 1973, at a major concert in San Francisco’s legendary Winterland, Sharanam had a life-changing encounter with Neem Karoli Baba’s presence through Ram Dass and the early kirtan pioneers—Krishna Das, Bhagavan Das, and Jai Uttal. This experience set him on an irreversible path toward yoga, kirtan chanting, and Eastern spirituality, transforming his life into one of devotion and musical expression.

Since then, Sharanam has been a student, practitioner, and promoter of spiritual music and gatherings, founding the Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa, CA, and producing countless events to spread messages of world peace, spirituality, and cultural unity. Today, he continues to lead, perform, and inspire at major spiritual festivals, including Bhakti Fest, Shakti Fest, Beloved Festival, Oregon Country Fair, Good Medicine, and Pranafest.
